The demand for examination, vinyl & nitrile gloves was increased due to public awareness of HIV and the hazards healthcare professionals faced. Latex is the original material used to make medical gloves. Because of its great durability and flexibility of natural rubber, latex examination, vinyl & nitrile gloves continue to be used in the medical industry.
Due to the increasing demand of latex allergy rate health professionals, and in the general population, gloves made of non-latex materials such as vinyl, nitrile rubber or neoprene have become widely used. Examination, vinyl & nitrile gloves are used by both hospital staff and patients protection from microbes which results to providing the best quality healthcare. Sometimes it becomes very difficult task for choosing the best examination, vinyl & nitrile gloves as glove manufacturers are introducing new exam gloves to the health care industry. Police officers regularly wear them to work in crime scenes to prevent destroying evidence in the scene. Many criminals wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, which makes the crime investigation more problematic. However, not all gloves prevent fingerprints from being left on the crime scene, liable on the material from which the glove is made.Fingerless gloves are valuable where dexterity is necessary that gloves would restrict. Cigarette Smokers and church organists use fingerless gloves. Some gloves include a gauntlet that spread out partway up the arm. Cycling gloves for road racing or touring are commonly fingerless, as are sailing gloves.
Gloves are made of materials including cloth, knitted or felted wool, leather, rubber, and metal (as in mail).
